i'm feeling much better today and actually had a pretty good weekend. we have had SO much snow so far, over 23". last saturday we had another 5". initially they were predicting 1-3". i have hated going out shopping this year more than others but when i saw the weather report i suggested to bob that we venture out. as long as we took the roads cautiously, and went a good 10-15mph slower than the speed limit, they were fine.
it was a great idea on my part, (if i do say so myself) because the stores were virtually empty. we are downsizing this year for presents to begin with so it also made it easier. for one, it will be difficult Christmas and two, with both of us currently unemployed for the most part and 2 in college, need i say more?
i can't believe that with the exception of cleaning my house, i'm ready for Christmas, or as ready as i plan on being. usually i'm scrambling around at the 11th hour. i have to admit, it feels good, and good to feel positive for a change.

Great news Nancy! I've been wondering how much "Snow" you actually got, and it seems to matter a great deal as to what part of the State you live in, but not this time, huh?
Eveyone seems to be doing/feeling so much better, and I am so glad. Maybe it is just Christmas Grace, but whatever it is, I am happy for You & Lori, and Flinty.
Wow, you have A LOT of snow, Nancy. We get bursts like that here in PA once in a while, but it's been a few years since we had a 17" pile up. Can't say that I miss it, either. ;) Glad you got some shopping done and are feeling better. ((hugs))
Oh my gosh. I needed to put on a jacket just to look at that picture.
I'm so glad you are doing better. I think I have finally reached a point where there are more good days then bad one. I hope that is true for you too.
I'm so happy you have finished your Christmas preparations! And a little jealous, too. Haha
Nikki decorated our tree yesterday and she cleaned all day today. I'm swamped with end of year stuff at work, so I really appreciate her efforts. We will venture out to shop til we drop tonight and I will finish all of it Thursday - at least that's the plan.
Your photo is gorgeous. I'm not much of a snow worshiper, probably because my heart belongs on a beach. But this picture is spectacular! I'm so glad you thought of going out to finish your shopping - you're thinking now!
Glad you are having some good days, friend. You deserve them.
Looks like my back yard! Then again, you are what, about an hour and a half away from me? LOL!
Glad you are getting things completed for the holidays. I'm just buying for my daughter this year as things are lean here too. As long as she arrives here safe and sound, that is Christmas enough for me!
Take care sweetie. Oh and btw, I am thinking of moving to Madison in the next few months if I don't get back into my Paramedic class. Will have to wait to see if they have enough people interested. Hugs to you!
Good for you Nancy! That feeling of accomplishment feels good. I'm glad that you are feeling better today. It's a slow process so be good to yourself. {{Hugs}}
I am so glad you are ready. Can I borrow some of that readiness? lol its ok I know I am going to hate this holiday no matter what. I just have to keep thinking I should have many more Christmas's in my life to be happy on. I hope you have a great holiday you deserve it. PS as for the being broke thing... I feel you. I have zero amounts of money to spend on Christmas and about 10 people to buy for. How will this work out you may ask... two words: Credit Cards
Keeping you in my thoughts today, Nancy. ((hugs))
